A while back, I was racking my brain trying to figure out a way to get some data off a license key for a games console. It had a long string of letters and numbers and I just couldn't remember what number or letter corresponded with which symbol on the keyboard. I found dashcommand from this archive of old apps on reddit that I have been exploring lately, and it was great! It has all these really detailed reference graphs that let you know exactly where on the keyboard you need to be looking for specific symbols, so it's way easier than looking up how to turn symbols into numbers in an online interpreter. Since I don't have any other games consoles, I've not been able to make much use of dashcommand, except for when I was playing Super Mario Maker. The game has a lot of hidden characters, and when you get all the characters you use the same key commands that come up in dashcommand. For example in this video, where the character 'Bowser' is shown in the menu screen before he is unlocked in-game: You can see that it uses a bunch of symbols that are on my keyboard layout, which makes it easy to use dashcommand and go and pick them off. So, if you are looking for a way to get reference graphs for your favorite games, this is the one to get! It's written in python which makes it really easy to use. You can download dashcommand here: https://github.com/takashimaya/dashcommand You can also go check out the other charts on github too! They are almost almost as detailed as the one I linked to. So here's what's happening in my life right now: I'm in the last stages of cutting and pasting the final levels in the VR game 'Samsara'. Finally finished editing and sound tuning and everything is coming together so nicely! I'll put it up on itch.io once it's ready for anyone to try! You can follow my progress or ask me questions about Samsara here: https://www.patreon. com/watchmeplaygames I'll be posting updates on that here too, so you can stay up to date with what I'm doing! I have also been working on my new game, Tyler's Odyssey. It's an adventure game about being stuck in an open world with nothing to do, and running out of ideas. I'm aiming for it to be a bit more dynamic than Samsara. You can follow me or ask me questions about my progress here: https://www.patreon. cfa1e77820
